  • D teaching English class! We just wanted to see what a classroom looked like but as soon as we popped our heads in I was handed a workbook and asked to read the lesson. The great thing about being the only one when knows the language is that I was able to hand the workbook to my dad and tell him that the teacher wanted him to read the lesson! You did great D!

  • I love the look on their faces. Diana is thinking "I have no idea what is going on but I am just going to smile as big as I can and show everyone my beautiful teeth" and my dad is thinking something along the lines of "I have no idea what they are saying. Son, help me!" And this is where the roles reverse. All my life I have depended on my parents. At this moment in time though they were completely depended on my ability to translate the chaos that was unfolding before them, or at least make something up that sounds like it fits! (I did that a few times...)
